The Forcefield Kids

I know very little about Rap, I have maybe five MP3’s in my collection and three of those are from albums that were released twelve years ago. And I know even less about Rap artists from the U.K. so when I received an email from The Forcefield Kids I wasn’t going to write anything but I listened to their music on their MySpace and it was pretty good stuff, I listened to every track they had on MySpace and there wasn’t one I didn’t like.
I still don’t really know what exactly to write about these guys, they’re good at what they do, their music is full of energy, they believe in what they’re singing about. That’s the kind of things that crosses genres and makes people take note of you no matter if you’re singing or rapping.
Their single Little Miss Star is actually really good, I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a rap song this much since I heard Common’s track, Play Your Cards Right from the Smokin’ Aces Soundtrack, not that they are similar, Little Miss Star is a little more dark and sinister. Their debut EP is out in July but you can listen to a bunch of their work on their MySpace page (linked below) and I have one below.
